Troll Makeover

On our recent holiday we found this sad little creature washed up on the beach.  How long had she been in the sea? What adventures had she been through? Little One decided to adopt her, but she definitely needed a bit of a makeover.

It is amazing what can be done with a bit of pink fluff, some glue and an indeliable pen.  And a bit of pink wool for her new outfit. Her name is Dune.

Now she is ready to meet the other little trolls, and be part of the gang.  But she will always retain the marks of her adventures. (Can you see her smooth hands, feet and ears?)

And the bigger trolls. (Some of these trolls are nearly as old as me, which is why they are so wise.)  I just love trolls.

  11. I would never have thought of making over a sea-damaged troll, but you did such an amazing job. I have a soft spot for troll dolls too, although I don't have any, and haven't had any for years- I had one when I was little and apparently I named it Aunty Mary- sadly I don't remember my Aunty Mary, but the adults were a bit amused by the likeness, and the unfiltered honesty of children...

  13. How sweet that you saved the troll and gave her a makeover! I had a collection of the troll dolls and few of the big ones, they have their own personality!

  17. I remember when I had a troll in high school (they were all the rage then). :) I'm glad you pointed out the wear/smoothing of the features - I wouldn't have noticed that otherwise.
