I forgot to show you my daughter dressed in her costume for World Book Day last week. It is her last year at primary school, so probably her last chance to dress up for World Book Day. Although I made the outfit, it was her own idea. This was her sketch of what she wanted. Once again, thanks to the lovely shop Fabricland, the outfit only cost a few pounds to make.
And here is me in my outfit for the day: The Ugly Duckling. I do love my job.
WHat a great outfit your daughter designed! So clever of her. The photo of you is sensational.
ReplyDeleteGreat costumes! You must feel very proud of the work you've done.
ReplyDeleteYour daughter's costume is amazing.
ReplyDeleteThe costumes look awesome. They look very professional and better than anything you could buy in a store. Maybe there is a small business venture there for you.
ReplyDeleteHow creative!
ReplyDeleteOMG! What fun!
ReplyDeleteSuch a clever family. What a good way to promote reading.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun, you did a great job. It's good to see she's up for the challenge.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness...I LOVE your costumes! You (and your daughter) are so creative!
ReplyDeleteThese costumes are epic! (gosh I sound like a teenager) I bet you were really comfy all day with that duck nose on!
ReplyDeleteMy kids are all secondary school or left now but I used to enjoy helping them rustle something up for book day. Our favourites were Horrid Henry (because once I had added a strip to an old sweatshirt it just stayed in the dressing up box and got reused multiple times) Katie Morag, cos it was just wellies and a kilt (super easy) and a green shirt we chopped off all zig zag at the bottom which got used for Peter Pan. Robin Hood and even a Christmas tree! Ah, I miss those days!
What great costumes!! I love it. Thank you for sharing at Sharing Saturday!
