How to Sew a Bullion Stitch

Bullion stitch is a bit similar to a french knot, but you end up with a much longer stitch? 
 

Stitch up to the front of your work ready to start the stitch

Make a stitch close to your starting place

 Don't pull the needle through yet.

 

Wind the wool around the needle five times

Hold this firmly with your thumb

Then pull the needle and wool through

Sew back in where you started your stitch
