The garden and the house seem to be full of them this year. I think there are more than usual. My mum insists spiders are lucky, not just the money ones, and it very bad luck to kill one. So I spend quite a bit of time trying to gently remove them from my house to the garden.
I have had a few online discussions about whether photography is a craft, but in this case I would definitely argue that these are fibre artists. I hope they inspire you, particularly if you are into weaving or spinning!

We had lots of spiders last year, although I'm not a fan I certainly have respects for them. And I agree that they are fibre artists, dreaming of the days when I can spin as fine a yarn as their web :)

ReplyDeleteI totally love spider webs, and I'm not affraid of spiders inside of the house. I just grab them carefully and bring them out. :-)
ReplyDeleteWe also have more spiders than usual this year. I was in the basement yesterday with the broom snagging webs out of the ceiling. I hate walking across my basement only to have 3 or 4 spider webs caught in my hair when I get back upstairs. ew The webs outside are beautiful though and the variety of spiders is quite amazing. Thank you for posting the pics.

ReplyDeleteWe seem to have extra spiders this year also and my 4 year-old granddaughter is not happy about it. I'm constantly moving them outside as well.

ReplyDeleteNice detail on the spiders! I'm always rescuing them from my house and putting them back outside where I keep telling them they belong. Most of the ones I find are small and no where near as intricate as yours are.
